Biggest and best of natural attractions are all here. From the largest aquarium in the world to the largest bas-relief carvings in the world on the largest exposed granite dome in North America at Stone Mountain, this tour is supersized. And "best" is here also. Zoo Atlanta's Gorilla Exhibit is considered one of the best in the world. Then let's not forget General Beauregard Lee, the favorite Southern weather prognosticator who resides at Yellow River Game Ranch. Come along and visit the best of Atlanta's natural attractions with Atlanta, Georgia in the Wild!
Tips in this Tour:
Check times and dates that attractions are open, especially at Stone Mountain Park. Many are closed seasonally.
Be sure to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes at Stone Mountain as you must have them to enter the Sky Hike. They're good idea for all of these attractions.
The best spot for picnicking is at Stone Mountain near the Grist Mill.
Bicycle rentals are not offered inside Stone Mountain Park. Both bike and scooter rentals are available seasonally in Stone Mountain Village just outside the West Gate.
This tour is too extensive to do in one day. I recommended you allow a separate day for each section, but if that is impossible, the Aquarium and the Zoo work best for one day. Then combine the others by visiting Yellow River Game Ranch first and then Stone Mountain as you do want to catch the night Lasershow Spectacular.
